It contains some of the best tracks by this band. I dont purchase many audio CDs however this was worth every penny. Customer Rating: Summary: best ever impulse buy Comment: This CD caught my eye sitting on a shelf as it has such a beautiful album sleeve. I picked it up purely because it looked good, bought it because of the nice cover. Now from past exerience I can say that impulse buys like this are generally regrettable, but I have not stopped listening to this CD since I got it. Easily my album of the year, it has everything and spans across so many types of moods and genres. It has the amazing ability to chill you out, get you worked up, uplift you and break your heart all at the same time. Now im generally not a fan of chillout music, I can't concentrate long enough and get bored! Enigma however, bring such variety to the music and these albums are so brilliantly written and put together that ANYONE can like them, no matter what your 'style' of music is like. 10/10, a brilliant album. Just goes to show that sometimes, you can judge a book by its cover! Customer Rating: Summary: Enigma - Trilogy Comment: What can be said! One of the most innovative bands for years. The first album 'MCMXCAD' is one of the most relaxing CD's ever produced. This opening album with hints of trance, classical and gregorian chant is a pure blend of styles that should not mix but due to Enigma's daring, blend into something that touches the soul. The second album of the 3 'Cross of Changes' again challenges convention with a daring mix of trance, rock and native indian chants. Again there is little that can be at fault with the style but pure blend of individual styles. The third album 'Le Roi ist Morte, Vive le Roi' continues on this theme, again producing something that relaxes and touches the heart. A beautiful trilogy that can not be faulted for style or content, something that when first heard will stay with you forever and proves that individualism in music is still alive and well. Customer Rating: Summary: I bought it...I loved it Comment: Wow! I purchased this CD after hearing LSD - Enigma Greatest hits at a friends house and loving it. I went on to purchase this album and realised that the greatest hits could have been far larger, maybe even two discs. This is the perfect package with 3 hours of background music to entertain with, meditate with or simply relax with after a long day. The sound of enigma is truly unique with an ethnic, spiritual,classical and modern sound that will appeal to anyone. You may think that you have never heard anything by Enigma but you probably have. Do you own The Matrix on D.V.D? You know that gospel-esqe song that plays in the background of the menu, that's Enigma's "The Eyes Of Truth", which is on the second disc of this set! Imagine that but far more slowbeat with haunting rhythmns and seducing vocals. But, if your looking for something similar with a high BPM and club like beats buy Enigma's "LSD - Greatest Hits: The Remix Collection" but, for some serious chillout, buy this trilogy!!!
