I don't know if it's an error or not, but it's a fantastic bargain. The material is wonderful, a real treasure trove. Scorching, angry, political, passionate, funny, charming, beautiful.. how many more adjectives are there to describe this body of work? Get it here for the packaging, which I'm sure is marvellous, or get it from itunes for the music, before they put the price up! Customer Rating: Summary: A bewitching collection of songs Comment: I thought this would never happen to me again - not at my age, not after having encountered the likes of Dylan and France's George Brassens. Yet here I am once more - bewitched. Christy Moore's voice and guitar playing merge to form a beautiful whole which is made up of many many precious things: there's History here, and Legend, and Ireland of course, and Anger, and Laughter, and Empathy, and Joie de Vivre, and oodles of Wisdom, and Love, and Poetry, and ... All this in a single black box. Christy is now in my Desert Island collection - and believe me, it is VERY select club! I recently read an excellent book whose blurb promised that I would soon be feeling homesick for a place I had never visited - well, I now feel homesick for Ireland, and the Wicklow Hills, although I have never set foot anywhere near them. But up to now his albums have disappointed. The magic of his live set has never convincingly translated to recording. But at last this box set manages to achieve what his studio recordings have not. This collection is fantastic.There is'nt a dud track. And you realise again that Christy is one of the greatest social commentators of the last 30 years.I have'nt stopped playing this for the last 3 weeks. If you love real music you will love this.He seldom plays solo now but this box set compensates for this. Customer Rating: Summary: THE PROOF OF A BRILLIANT FOLK SINGER! Comment: The songs in this box-set simply prove that Christy Moore is one of the best folk singer of the past few decades. I like the simple arrangement in many of the songs. There is one regret that there are several hidden tracks at the end of the CD's without any introductory words.
