It's OK but....
Comment:
Well presented package, nice liner notes, good quality, all his big
hits + B sides but only one small complaint: Except for 2 songs the
3rd CD can be forgotten. With 2 discs this compilation would have
been perfect and the best tribute to Bobby's music. This 3rd one
reflects the days of an artist who didn't know what to sing or what
to do anymore singing some "Liverpool sound" orientated songs which
wasn't his style at all + some forgettable Italian versions who
probably no Italian understands.
For those of you who really like Bobby Vee you will be better off
with the BGO twofers dedicated to him which all are real beauties
and even superior in sound than this CD box.

Brilliant!!
Comment:
I wasn't so sure on purchasing another Bobby Vee compilation CD or set:
But thanks to the previous reviews on this page, I was excited to buy this brilliant compilation. Includes rare B-sides and a very comprehensive singles discography/track details. And as said before, the booklet;casing is stuffed with LP/singles/eps pictures amongst others! There's also first time Stereo issues on some tracks. For some reason on certain compilations the song 'Bobby Tomorrow' appears in mono, it's in STEREO on this set as well as 'Look At Me Girl'.
This collection overwhelms the 'Essential Compilation' released in the late 90s.
EMI have done well with these CDs. Beautiful remastered/sound quality. AND 95 Tracks! For an exceptionally low cost!
What would be nice is a DVD compilation of Bobby Vee from the TV appearances he made in the 1960s singing his big hits, just like they did with other artists like the 'Beach Boys'.

An object lesson in CDs
Comment:
Outstanding value, chronological order with both A & B sides,a fact packed booklet with montages of pictures and in a slip case which has the same photo as the CD.
This is a case where they're not after your money or trying to rip you off!
In fact its made available tracks never issued in the UK such as the cover of Adam Faith's What do you want.
They never did things like this on vinyl.

Pardon My Screams
Comment:
Scream! I loved Bobby Vee, and still do. This has to be one of the best back-catalogue realeases in years. It is especially good to hear Stranger In Your Arms and All You Gotta Do Is Touch Me after all these years - other than on my much loved, scratchy old 45's. A big Thank You to EMI, Bob Celli, and of course to Mr V, himself.
