Summary: Another good Artificial Intelligence compilation
Comment: Not as awe-inspiring as Volume 1, this is nonetheless another great compilation in the Artificial Intelligence series.

It starts off a little inconsistently, the first track is somewhat techno by numbers, but as the compilation goes on, the quality improves. It's usually the other way around!

Summary: Warp at it's best
Comment: Classic home-listening 'intelligent' techno. This dates back to the early 90's which was, in my view, the golden-era both in terms of this type of British techno and also in terms of the Warp label.

Summary: THE CREAM OF ELECTRONIC LISTENING MUSIC
Comment: This is a brilliant collection of the most impressive electronic music of the 90s. All the contributions are of a high standard, but my favorites include Link's evocative "Arcadian," B12's solemn "Scriptures," Autechre's really weird and innovative "Chatter," (along with "Eutow," this is my alltime fave Autechre composition) Beaumont Hannant's bubbling, burbling & hypnotic "Utuba," Richard H Kirk's plinking, plonking, swaying "Reality Net" and Seefeel's chiming & echoing "Spangle," which reminds me a bit of Popol Vuh's "Nosferatu." These are some of the strangest sounds I've ever heard, powerful, varied and innovative. I prefer listening to this album in one go because of the variety, whilst I would never listen to an entire Autechre album, for instance. It should appeal to lovers of electronic music from both the techno to the classical avant garde side of the spectrum.

Summary: Addictive and atmospheric
Comment: A real mixed bag of ambient brilliance! It's good to see acts like 'Seefeel' getting a look in on this compilation. I saw them support the Cocteau Twins some years ago and it was the strength of their performance that led to this album, although I had already enjoyed Autechre & Speedy Jay. Many different moods and sounds to chill to. A good post club therapy. Highly recomended.

Summary: Outstanding digital recordings
Comment: I have been told that the original recording is even better than Volume Two, I can't comment yet as I have only heard Volume Two, but I must say these pieces of music will grow and grow on you. Relax, light some candles in a darkened room and let the music take you to another dimension. Some pieces are better than others but all in all outstanding.
