Editorial Reviews: 1999 was an eventful year for music, and Now! 44 reflects this with a double-CD collection of some of the year's biggest hits. As is expected from the Now That's What I Call Music! series, none of the chart-toppers are left unrepresented: there's Robbie Williams ("She's The One"), Britney Spears ("Baby One More Time"), Shania Twain ("That Don't Impress Me Much") and Steps ("Tragedy"), to name a just few. In addition to the expected list of pop stars, the UK chart's diversity is demonstrated by the inclusion of a number of different styles, from dance (Moloko, ATB, etc) to indie (Supergrass, Bran Van 3000) to reggae (Bob Marley), and all points in between. Spotlight customer reviews: Customer Rating: Summary: greats tuff! Comment: britney's crackin' debut single is a great start to this now! There are all sorts of styles in this now! including the dancey blue da ba dee lou's mambo and r kelly's turn back the hands of time to slow your mind down and keep you calm for a few minutes. Overall a great addition to the now! collection. Customer Rating: Summary: Excellent round up of the end of year hits! Comment: As expexted Now 44 is as good as is humanly possible with loads of number 1's and lots of other top charting hits and some not so high hits but still excellent songs. The Christmas release of the Now series is usually the strongest and this is no exception with the biggest seller of the year from Britney Spears and other huge sellers from Eiffel 65 and Lou Bega. It isn't all pop music though with the likes of Supergrass, ATB, R Kelly and even oldies such as Diana Ross, Tina Turner and Phil Collins pleasing every fan of different types of music. It is this diversity that makes it such a hit with my favourite songs being Robbie William's She's The One and Ronan Keating's When You Say Nothing At All. An excellent cd as usual with something to please everybody. Customer Rating: Summary: An Excellent Compilation CD Comment: I think that this Now Compilation CD was excellent. It some real brilliant hits of 1999/2000. With some Now compilation CD's only one of the two CD's are good but both of these CD's are brilliant. Definately one to buy. Comment: i got this cd a while ago for my birthday and i really loved the 1st disc because of the different stlyes of music whereas, the only thing i was`nt impressed with was that the disc2 was mostly ibiza club dance music. Though this is a great buy i would`nt really recomend it.But if you`re in to club music and bumpy music you neeeeed it!
