Summary: Best in a long while!
Comment: As a Canadian who's been buying these album as imports since the first NOW double-LP back in 1983,
(and that hasn't been easy) this is certainly the best in the series since NOW 38 (Never
Ever/High/Angels/Perfect Day).

With Britney, Shania & Steps, there's a definite attempt to catch
up on some missed hits from earlier in the year, while Wamdue Project wasn't even out when this CD
was released.

What's staggering is how many acts on this CD have lasted so long: Phil & Tina were
on the first two NOW releases. Diana Ross & Bob Marley also made early appearances. Tom Jones, I
believe, is making his first appearance!

Four (count 'em 4) Spice Girls solos extends their NOW
appearance streak to a record 11 consecutive editions, breaking the old Queen/Freddy Mercury
streak.

Only disappoinment: No Travis. Hard to get Travis over here.

Hey! Anyone know of a
site which keeps a history of the NOW albums, both UK & world-wide?

Summary: The greatest hits of '99? What more is there to say?
Comment: Simply the best Compelation out. Every song has been in aleast the top 100, and there's a generous
number of songs for a doubel cd. At this great price, tthere's no exuse for not having it!

Summary: Big Hits, Big Variety!
Comment: I have pretty diverse music tastes, and this CD seems to fulfil most of them. It's got lots of
variety from Shania 'Let's upset Brad Pitt' Twain's 'That Don't Impress Me Much' to some of the
major dance and summer anthems like Ann Lee's '2 Times' and the fabulous 'Blue', which were heard
all over the continent. It also has managed to get the very recent catchy no.1 'King of my
Castle'. I think this is the best mix of songs that a 'Now' compilation has come up with in ages
and I'm so glad I bought it. Personal favourites are Enrique 'sexy voice' Iglesias' fantastic
'Bailamos' and Jordan 'equally sexy voice' Knight's 'Give it to you'. Not a great deal of Indie
though and I am wondering as to how Phil Collins got on there - what next, Cliff Richard?!

Summary: Album of the Year!
Comment: Yet again, "Now!" has come out on top - I particularly like this cd because it includes all of the
songs which i'd yet to buy and sums up my year, bringing back very good memories - A class cd which
should be first on everyones Xmas list this year.

Summary: What a year
Comment: 1999 has certainly been a brilliant year for music and this album has all the evidence of this.
There is a great selection of styles here, from teen pop (Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys, S Club 7
etc.), country style (Shania Twain) great dance music (ATB, Moloko, Whamdue Project etc.) and all
those alltime greats everyone loves (Diana Ross, Phil Collins, Tina Turner). There certainly is a
song for every single person in the world. On here we have some of the phenomenoms of this year,
Britney Spears, hitting us this January, a massive success, Geri Halliwell, after leaving the Spice
Girls finding #1 success with two of her three solo singles, and S Club 7, the teenage sensation
with two number one singles under their belts at the ages of 17/18. Also there is the artists who
have been aroung that little bit longer, Robbie Williams - She's The One, Backstreet Boys - Larger
than Life, and Ronan Keating - When you say nothing at all and the all time greats like Phil
Collins and Tina Turner. A genuine must for any music fan.
