Summary: Don't stand the test of time, BUT...
Comment: Normally, one year's fresh new dance compilation album is the following year's charity shop over-stock, but with this compilation I'd make an exception- it's a CD that eight years later will still find it's way into my CD player every once in a while.

Yes, it's very very cheesy in places and there are some bad musical memories on there (everyone who bought ATB's "Killer" must surely regret it) but there are also a few classics that are still in high regard- ranging from the classic Ferry Corsten mix of the William Orbit-produced "Adagio For Strings", plus "Groovejet", a jazzy version of "Don't Call Me Baby", some of Moloko's "The Time Is Now", and slightly incongruously, the brilliant "Man With A Red Face" by Laurent Garnier.

CD1 is straightforward trance, from when trance was at its commercial peak, but CD2 is a bit more diverse- Laurent Garnier mixed into Utah Saints... but blended nicely together and a bit more chilled than CD1.

Also, the picture Amazon gives doesn't match the more plain red cover with simple Cream logo that is on the outer sleeve, which might be confusing.

Summary: Cream Cheese Spoils An Otherwise Appetising Treat
Comment: Cream Live is a real mixed bag of delights. Whilst the double CD pack undeniably contains some one of the better roundups of the best track from the period immediately prior to its release most notably Moby's excellent Natural Blues & the beautiful Adagio For Strings from William Orbit. However, the CD is let down by the inclusion of a number of more commercial & somemight argue, cheest, tracks such as ATB's Killer which dilute the experience & leave the listener with an overall feeling of a disappointment that the album fails to deliver a better overall package. What is more many of the tracks are present in a less than familiar guise such as Madison Avenue's 'Don't Call Me Baby' included in its Dronez incarnation which further dissapoints.

On the whole, therefore. it's worth a look but have the remote control handy to skip through the more nausious moments.

Summary: Absolutely mesmerizing
Comment: This CD is absolutely wonderful, especially if you are into Trance/Dance music. It takes you on a journey that you will never forget with tracks like Fragma's Toca's Miracle and Heart of Asia by Watergate. This is essential for any trance lover out there....go ahead and buy it...no doubts about it. I would almost call this CD the Bible of Trance music.....but ATB's Clubbers Guide to Trance gets my vote on that. But nonetheless, this CD is a great compilation that every trance lover should own.

Summary: expected it to be better
Comment: I was expecting this CD to have some of the best pumping house tunes there are but it wasn't to be. I didn't find this CD as good as what some of the people that have rated it. May be it might just be my taste. I found a lot of the songs that where mixed had been in the charts.
