Spotlight customer reviews: Customer Rating: Summary: summer chill Comment: i grew to like the first cd it is definately the one to listen to while chilling in the sun, the tunes are calming and uplifting. the 2nd cd is fairly good but not as euphoric/uplifting as id like. Cheesy synth strings, terrible female vocals and lyrics, utterly predictable chord structures and break downs..... There is nothing on this compilation that is any different from trance released in 2001 The production is decent but workmanlike from someone who is meant to be the number 1 DJ in the world? It's such a shame that Armin has gone down this populist route as he does have some talent, but this CD is complete dross. If you are a fan of Eurodisco/ pop music you might like this CD. Otherwise save your money. Customer Rating: Summary: Err... what? this is lame Comment: I heard this for the first time the other day and was quite diappointed. I remember one of my favourite club nights was armin at turnmills doing an 8 hour set of non stop trance; It was amazing. I don't know what the deal is with this lame mediocre style trance that so many love. It is a shame... i guess he sold out. I don't know. I know he doesn't sound like this in a club. I wouldn't buy this. If you want good commercial trance d.j. i would go for paul van dyk. His more recent album is much better than this. Comment: Having i mind the "Burned with Desire" wich is one of my top ever songs, and i was hoping for something equal or close in quality. But no, there are some nice songs there 2-3 but nothing more. The second cd is only for the Club (to much for me). The cd was a bit of disapoitment for me.
