Overated!
Comment:
I think this double CD is overated and so is Tiesto. There are DJs out there who play better trance than him. I suppose people just go for the name these days.
This CD title does have some nice bouncey beats here and there. Some of the arrangements in the tracks are nice but that is all I can say. On the whole it doesn't do a lot for me.
I am one of many who hate vocals in trance. Listening to mediocre "X-Factor pre-bootcamp" cheesey vocals ruins trance music. These CDs are peppered with this and that is one of many reasons why I have rated it 2 stars.

An excellent album
Comment:
Whether the album resonants the mood of ibiza or not is an intreguing question... however this latest installment does reflect the ambience of this exciting series...
Tiesto decants slivers of everything that is good in the world of house and trance, from the blissful longing of "somewhere inside" to the pulsating "hide and seek" which runs up and down your spine.
It puts a shine in your eyes, even of those who have lost their way.

Maor Levi - Reflect, as banging as it is emotive.
In search of sunrise compilations are always brilliant.

Still pretty good
Comment:
I have to agree with previous reviewers on this in that the album is not quite as good as number 5, but it definately grows on you and is well worth a purchase.
For those who are uninitiated with this particular series, you should understand that the "In Search of Sunrise" albums are different from Tiesto's usual work. As described already, he is normally responsible for mixes that involve having to throw your hands up in the air to thumping, fast beats. However in my personal opinion, these more agressive trance tunes can sometimes err on the side of Euro Cheese, which as far as my personal tastes are concerned, isn't quite what I am into.
For me therfore, the In Search of Sunrise albums offer something a little more sophisitcated. Less of the "Fog horn" culture and more of the soothing summer tracks that whilst being more laid back, still offer their fair share of foot tapping moments.
All the tracks are very tuneful (not so much of the sqeaks and pops that you may get with the harder trance) but ISOS #5 pips this to the post simply because there are just more memorable tunes. Definately worth a purchase though.

Great Album
Comment:
I never knew this artist existed until i listen to a song "Lonely" by him on Launchcast music yahoo. I immediately bought the CD and i have never regretted it. CD 1 is better than two though in my opinion.
