Spotlight customer reviews: Customer Rating: Summary: Best Ever Kandi Album Comment: Ignore any poor customer reviews you might read about this double CD, it is the best Hed Kandi album I have ever listened to or purchased. It is a break from the usual middle of the road tame disco house they tend to create. I like Hed Kandi but it has become boring and this album is hopefully a new direction for them. It is slightly trance and progressive but still listenable to all tastes. You just need to be open minded and you will end up loving it. If you are looking for a decent Hed Kandi album I would strongly recommend "Hed Kandi World Series Live From Paris" - that's what I'm talking about... Customer Rating: Summary: Electonica Kandi at it's best Comment: The freshest Kandi release I've heard in ages, so not to everyones taste ! I normally prefer HK's more chilled albums and Beach House for a more uptempoe groove. This live album mixed by Phil Faversham and Jim Breese is in a class of it's own. I love the electronica backing which has such strong influences of dance music through the decades. Disc 1's first six tracks are superb. This whole mix is predominantly an electro experince, that's quite mind blowing and the tempoe is right for either chilling out or getting you ready for a night out and a perfect intro to the other HK summer series Serve Chilled and Beach House. Customer Rating: Summary: Different style but superb! Comment: Had to write a review after the previous one slated it so heavily, as this album is far from terrible. Granted the style is slightly different to previous hed kandi albums, but this wasnt designed to be single track hits (its called live for a reason), combined the songs produce an awesome house atmosphere that are first rate. The hedkandi DJ's have once again shown there class with there mixing on this album, the tracks are a array of euphoric trance and more vocal house to bring a good range of style to it, just wish couldv'e been there to experience it. Comment: I have got nearly all the Hed Kandi CDs which have been released and I have got to be honest and say that with the exception of a couple of tracks on this compilation it is awful. If this is what they play in San Francisco then good job i'm in the UK!! Take for example the last track on CD2 what on earth they bothered with that for is beyond me? Yes The Cube Guys and Martin Solveig are good and a couple of others aren't bad but hey isn't this supposed to be Hed Kandi? Stick to the UK guys, it's what you do best!! More Reviews
