Summary: Yes it's slow, but who said there was anything wrong with slow?
Comment: In this movie

The camerawork is mundane
The characterisation is patchy
The
dialogue is simple
The jokes don't come thick and fast
There are no special effects or
car chases

But so what - it's a pleasure to watch! All of these things help to draw us
into Murray's absurd situation - by the end we feel his pain! (btw - ignore the reviewer who said
the movie has no ending - it does, and it's a nice subtle twist)

Summary: Tedious
Comment: The most tedious film I've ever sat through.
Bill Murray looking miserable on a couch, in a
plane, in a car - looking miserable and uncomfortable meeting an awkward ex girl-friend. Repeated
several times at a snails pace.

Is it supposed to be a comedy?

Not
remotely like Lost in Translation.
Dull & Pointless.

Summary: Pretentious wilted rose
Comment: An absolute dud. One of so called 'art' films which tries to hide the fact that the writer does not
have the skill to end the story by them just cutting it with no ending, and then no doubt calling it
'art'. Whichever way you 'cut' it this movie does not.

After two hours of watching
Bill Murray acting catatonic, or being catatonic (not sure which), the screen goes black and you
look at each other and say "that's it?".

Comedy? I think not. Bill Murray can do
comedy, so that leaves the writer/director as the culprit. I'll remember the name Jim Jarmusch - so
as not to waste any further money on any of his films.

Comment: If you're into Steve Martin films, then you won't like this one. Hence the 5 stars.
