Comment:
'Camp Slaughter' is exactly what it says on the box - 'Camp' 'Slaughter.'
This truly awful film is shot in the style of early Jason movies - with a diabiolically politically incorrect amount of female (and male) flesh on show, woefully card-board acting and a plotline thinner than the atmosphere at 38,000 ft. Characterizations are total cliches and dialogue is so bad it's funny. Bizarrely, the male leads seem more intent on eye-ing up the younger 'guys' than the 'girls' and Matt Dallas'character comes across as highly 'sensitive' to the point where the out-takes must have been more hilariously camp than the film itself (if possible)! It is truly a wonder that any of the cast have ever worked again - regardless of how pretty they are. It's not entirely clear if the film was intended to be this bad but to have a special feature on special effects was incredible - with the majority of props looking like they have been bought from a joke-shop and fake blood pouring from victims mouths regardless of injured body part. It truly has to be seen to be believed. Matt Dallas shows interesting range through-out as Kyle XY - as such I'm sure he is that 'nice guy' in real life - but hats-off to him for getting past this. If you want a slice of truly appalling cinematic history - buy this - but don't expect to be scared - do expect to laugh - from beginning to end !
