Summary: Enjoyable but not the best Shrek movie
Comment: In a way I think Shrek the Third suffers a little from the success of the previous movies. They were
exceptional and anything that doesn't quite live up to that is going to get panned. But this is
unfair. Sre, so Shrek 3 is not the greatest movie out there, but amoungst the seemingly endless flow
of kidult aniamtion this still stands out as one of the best.

The makers manage to
bring something new to the characters (Shrek contemplates becoming a father, Fiona loses her dad)
while staying true to the franchise. But most importantly it's funny and entertaining. And what
could be more important than that given we are now facing six weeks with the kids on holiday?! />

Summary: Decent enough
Comment: My children loved the first two films in the series, and they were good enough for adults as well.
Given that we have sat through some childrens films that are utter, utter rubbish - 'Over the
Hedge', 'Shark's Tale' - this is nowhere near as bad as some of the reviewers on this site claim.
Giving it 1 star is really pompous. The story is okay, the jokes are okay (and appeal to a younger
audience) and even the characters are okay. I am not sure what people expect when they go to see an
animated film like this. If you are looking for a childrens film that is okay for adults as well,
then I believe that this is good as it gets.

Summary: I loved it
Comment: You know what, I watched this with my wife and older kids this weekend.

I loved it, and
we laughed and laughed. This is not intended to be some worthy arthouse movie, it's a cartoon (kind
of). There is a sublty to many scenes that the more cynical reviewers seem to have missed. />
Sure I can see flaws in it, but they don't detract. I thought Merlin was terrific and the
'ladies in waiting', Cindarella, Snow White et al were well observed.

Try it, what do
you have to lose???

Comment: This is probably the worst shrek film that has been released it's is quite good in some parts but
the rest is boring i was falling asleep when i was watching this.

Comment: This is nowhere near as good as Shrek and Shrek 2 but is still well worth watching because it is
still a good film. There are quite a few really funny moments.
