Spotlight customer reviews: Customer Rating: Summary: Each series gets better Comment: Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps is a BBC sitcom written by Susan Nickson and set in the English town of Runcorn, and is the most popular comedy broadcast on BBC Three. The title was inspired by the 1980 hit "Two Pints Of Lager And A Packet Of Crisps Please" by Splodgenessabounds. The series has arguably stayed fresh through six quickly successive series by constant plot and character developments. The programme stars: Will Mellor as Gaz Wilkinson, the woman obsessed mechanic. He starts up an arrangement with Donna in the first series and the relationship carried on throughout the seasons, despite various arguments and break-ups. He is Jonny's best friend and he can either be found in his dad's garage (soon owned by Donna after Flo's death) working, in the pub with Jonny and a pint or at home wanking. He was thought to of been the biological father to Janet and Jonny's son Corinthian Mcvitie but after a need to reproduce and many hours spent at the fertility clinic he is shown to have a very low-sperm count. He has an immense fear of sheep. Ralf Little as Jonny Keogh, Jonny is the un-employed, long term (and later on husband) of Janet. He hasn't had a job that lasts over a week and is known by his parents as "Gypo Jonny". He spends his time in the pub, on the sofa at home or in various skips around Runcorn. He becomes more of a comic relief character as the show progressed, questioning his sexuality or becoming a farmer to provide for his family. He dislikes Louise (and voices this fact loudly) and dotes on his infant son Corinthian. Sheridan Smith as Janet Keogh, blonde and simple, Janet is the long-term girlfriend (and later on, his wife) of Jonny and mother to Corinthian. Natalie Casey as Donna Henshaw, and Kathryn Drysdale as Louise Brooks. Will Mellor had reportedly announced on a daytime TV show that a seventh series was in production. It is unknown if this statement is true, although commentary on the series six DVD release mentions a "next series" many times, possibly hinting at a seventh series to come. If a seventh does broadcast, it is possible for it to begin in February 2007. Customer Rating: Summary: Two Pints Rules Comment: You just have to love this series, the starting was amazing 'when Janet met Jonny' so funny couldnt stop laughing and i watch it over and over again! i really do not want them to stop making two pints its an awesome show with awesome actors! We found the characters interesting and each one produced their own comical aspects to the series. It made us laugh until our sides hurt. Comment: Since two pints started way back at series 1, ive been glued to my TV watching it! Ive got them all on DVD and will be getting series 6 very soon! This series has had me in even more stitches then the last 5 series. Series 6 Episode 6 has been the funniest yet!! I hope they do more series!!
