Spotlight customer reviews: Customer Rating: Summary: No great improvement over the 2005 version Comment: I rated the 2005 version as 1 star. I said: "It is an interactive as a book. And you are forced to play the game in a particular way which is not mirrored in the TV show. In the Big Money round, you have to guess the top answers - no marks for second answers. Basically, a book of Family Fortunes would be much better than this. They have forgotten to put something in this DVD - fun. " All of that applies to this version. There are 5 rounds: The second round is to guess the top answer only for 50 points. The 5th round is the "Big Money" round for both teams, and again is only for top answers. In the other 3 rounds (for example) Team A notes down their 5 answers. As soon as an answer comes up that you don't have, you get the "wrong" sound, and Team B has a chance to steal. This version does have the advantage of a recognised presenter. However, he only acts as a continuity announcer: You have to keep the score (how rubbish is that!). He doesn't read the question or the answers. He just introduces the rounds. Overall, still as interactive as a book, but with snazzier graphics and an on-screen presenter. Customer Rating: Summary: dissappointing Comment: Just got this game for Christmas and despite excellent revues I was extremly disappointed. Having bought and played millionaire,I expected the same from this game. would have been much better if the results would have been calculated electronically. if you get the answers in the wrong order you cannot continue, making the game unrealistic. In the big money round if you don't get the top answer, then you score no points. There are lots of better dvd games on the market. Customer Rating: Summary: Superb DVD game - The best Family Fortunes yet!!! Comment: The makers of this DVD game have got it spot on. An extremely accurate representation of the show with Vernon Kay helping you to feel as if you are actually there competiting on the show for real. Each team takes it in turns to play two "Single Money" rounds where the team "playing the round" writes down the most likely 5 popular answers for the question asked. At the same time the team "not playing the round" writes down a steal answer should the "playing" team reveal an answer on the board that they dont have written down. There is also a "Viewers Question" where you are given multiple choice from 3 answers to try and determine which is likely to be the most popular. Following this is "Double Money" (same as Single Money but for double the points) and finally "Big Money" where (and this differs from the real show) both teams compete, quickly writing down there answers to the five questions that Vernon Kay reads out hoping to find the top answer. Overall, superb fun and the best DVD game that I have played to date - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!. Customer Rating: Summary: Very Good DVD Game! Comment: This is one of the BETTER dvd games on the market. It is super fun and will keep amused for ages! It takes a little gettings used to as the rules are slightly altered to make it suitable for home use but it is great quality and gameplay. Comment: I have recently purchased this DVD and have to say I have only played it with one other person but am really looking forward to playing it with friends and family over Christmas!
