Summary: Real yoga for yogis
Comment: Having practiced Iyengar Yoga for 6 years I was really keen to continue with my practice throughout pregnancy. I've been to pregnancy classes, the social aspect of which is lovely, but always leave feeling disappointed that the practice focussed on being 'easy' rather than strengthening the body (and thus mind). A friend gave me this DVD and I have to say it is brilliant. No doubt when I'm further along the intermediate and beginners sessions will have their appeal, but for anyone who is used to practicing Iyengar or other postural forms of Yoga I cannot recommend this video highly enough!

Summary: Excellent
Comment: I bought this along with another yoga-dvd and two pilates dvds. I haven't done any yoga before but have been quite active before my pregnancy (this is 3rd one, so I know why the exercise matters throughout pregnancy as well..).

This dvd is very well paced and instructed, even for beginners. I did the 60 minute set today and personally don't think of it as a true workout, but rather an excellent stretching and relaxation exercise. But that is what you essentiallly need when you're pregnant! Often you don't even notice how tight your muscles are before they actually start aching. After the 60 minute exercise, I felt so good and relaxed that I almost fell asleep on the floor.

As others have said, the lack of music is very good. You get tired of any kind of music if you listen to it several times a week.

I'm now 20 weeks pregnant and plan to do this at least once a week. If you want one routine that you can follow throughout your pregnancy, buy this one.

Summary: Very beneficial DVD
Comment: I started to use this DVD after 3 months of pregnancy based on the reviews on Amazon. I started off with the full session and have dropped back to the intermediate section in the DVD now that I am over 6 months pregnant. I agree with other reviewers that the DVD gives you a choice of programmes to follow depending on which stage of pregnancy you are at and also your comfort level. This also ensures that the routines don't get monotonous as you can pick and choose the programme you want to do on a particular day. I did buy another DVD but this is the one that I have stuck to and will carry on following until the end of my pregnancy. I find that I am rested and invigorated at the same time afterwards. I did find the tone of voice which accompanies the exercises quite dull to start with but you get used to it after a while, and the benefit of the exercises far outweigh this minor criticism.

Summary: Really enjoyed this DVD
Comment: I bought this DVD on the back of the reviews it had received on Amazon and I have not been disappointed. The DVD is clear, well paced and, thankfully, doesn't have the typical yoga music on it.
I thoroughly recommend it, mostly because of the choice of the workouts. It has workouts of varying lengths to fit in with your busy, or not so busy, day.

Summary: Good DVD but with important caveat!
Comment: I was looking for a pregnancy yoga dvd, liked the reviews and ordered this one. The presentation is professional, a little straight perhaps, clean, simple and the voice over clearly explains the various moves - I only ever did the very first workout (of three available) as I had not done yoga before. **That is very important!!** After doing the workout once, I began to get discomfort in the front of my pelvis - yes, the start of SPD (you ladies know what I mean). It turns out that not only does pregnancy make it easier to bend where you want to, it also softens up your ligaments - and as I was NEW to yoga, I really shouldn't have done this without a qualified teacher (according to the physio who has given me alternative exercises). If you are normally quite flexible but haven't done yoga before, please go to a good local class and if all is well, THEN buy a DVD - this one is very good - once you're fine. Ideally, do yoga before you're pregnant... although if you're like me that warning is a bit late ;-)
