Less chatter please!
Comment:
I bought this DVD as soon as it came out a year ago and have been using regularly in rotation with my other fitness DVDs. I think the routine is great and excercises you all round and I like that you can select different sections depending on the time you have and to keep you interested.
Great. But and I mean a big BUT, Davina's constant chatter, especially in the important cool down is SO IRRITATING. Funny to watch once yes, but you are supposed to use this DVD 3 times a week or so and you can imagine the gurning faces and interruptions about Madonna's biceps or whatever get a bit tired.
Hopefully they will take this into consideration on her next DVD as it reallt is one of the best fitness DVDs out there!

Tough, varied workout! great!
Comment:
Great workout, great to have different sections to choose from each time instead of the usual 1 hour routine and that's it. Nice tough workout, good option to turn off Davina and turn on music once you have heard the comments enough times you are bonkers from them. This workout has given me great results, with sensible diet too, and after months of doing this dvd is still hurts and is still tough! thats the value for money bit! great!

Love it, love it, love it!
Comment:
I am a dedicated Davina workout fan. I really enjoy working out, and love the fact that Davina is clearly having fun while she works out too. This is hard work, but you will see and feel the results if you keep at it.
Yes, there's some unnecessary chat and a bit of shameless showing off by Davina of her new abs, but it's all lighthearted stuff, and when you know the routines well enough you can just move on to the next exercise anyway!
It is great to have the flexibility of mixing and matching workouts, the aerobics one and the boxing ones are my favourites, but all of them are well designed, and brought to you in a way that wouldn't make them intimidating for the least fit, or too easy for any but the super-duper-fit. For people who think that they are on the fitter end of the scale there's always the option to use heavier weights, do squats much lower, and inject more bounce into aerobic sections. This DVD really does work for all.

Excellent
Comment:
i have never thought about buying an exercise dvd, and never really wanted to. but i do need exercise and i know i will never go to the gym or go running or on long walks, so i though what the heck.
this dvd is great. after the first few times my muscles were aching, but i felt so much better. the variety of exercises and the fact that it has an easy version for when you just cant put your muscles through much more is excellent. i also thought that davina might be quite irritating, but she is amusing and not over the top. the music is good an well paced.
my number 1 buy this year!!

Very effective but personable as well
Comment:
Having had Davina's two previous DVDs I was a shade sceptical about whether or not they would be able to produce anything different - yet remarkably, they have. Yes, many of the routines are similar (Pump, for instance, is very similar to a previous DVD routine) but what makes this enjoyable is that there is enough variation so that you can choose which sections to do. Oddly enough, although the 'Pump' section in this is quite similar to the 'Pump' section in her 30 minute workout DVD I still find myself choosing between the two. Evidently there is enough difference for me to find it tough to make that choice!
As previous reviewers have pointed out there are five sections - two which I would say are more aerobic in nature (aerobics and boxing) and three focused on toning. All are very effective and due to the options you can choose to do one aerobic and one toning section, or all aerobic, or all five plus the warm up and cool down if you have the time.
One of the recurring advantages I have found with Davina's DVDs are the periods of interval training. One of my favourite sections is the 'Legs' but I know for a fact that I wouldn't be able to get through each of the three routines (each about five minutes, but even then, broken down into three or four mini-sections) if I didn't know there would be an interval coming along in a minute to save me! They keep your heart rate up but give you just enough of a break, with whatever muscle toning section you are on, to be motivated to start again.
Overall, I would say that this DVD is aimed at maintaining motivation. I have had this for over a month now and using it regularly (3/4 times a week, varying the sections and occasionally using other Davina DVDs) I still find myself looking forward to my workouts. I would say if you are looking for a DVD that is either purely toning, or purely cardio some others might be more appropriate, but this is a brilliant general fitness workout which entertains at the same time. Yes, of course after the twentieth time the comments can become repetitive, but I often find myself simply using them as a sign that I'm half way through, or that the set is nearly over.
Lastly, I would say that personally I found the two trainers and one presenter format really useful. Davina is clearly in great shape but she reminds you that it has taken about a year to achieve this. In addition, the trainers are friendly and encouraging and aren't there to make you feel inadequate! I'm still loving the fact that they've finally put a 'If you live in a flat' option to routines!
