Watch this with your teenage daughter!
Comment:
No great insights admittedly but I really enjoyed this film. It's light hearted with great performances from Michelle Pfeiffer and Paul Rudd and newcomer Saoirse Ronan before she made Atonement. My 13 year old daughter loves this film and really thinks the mum and daughter relationship is cool. It's a chick flick, but a really good one!

I Can't Believe This Film Never Made It To The Cinema!
Comment:
It was a lot better than some films I've seen at the cinema.
Very funny and very 'L.A.'. There are many laughs all the way through. I would say it's a quirky, cute romantic comedy thats definitely worth seeing.
The cast is great. Saoirse Ronan (her daughter) shows how versatile an actor she is. Her previous credits include Atonement. Jon Lovitz is very funny as her ex-husband who still lives with them and wants to help her get back in the dating game. Michelle Pfeiffer shows her quirky comedy side (like in One Fine Day), and Paul Rudd shows us his geeky, comic, doughy eyed, side (and don't we just love it girls!)
I guess this film would appeal to girls of all ages, but I can't really see it appealing to the fellas. Its all about relationships, sex, the ex-husband, big careers, bitchiness (courtesy of the office receptionist), the L.A. lifestyle, and doing absoutely anything to feel and look younger. But overall its about LOVE, and that age really is just a number.

awful
Comment:
I often watch films with my wife and have even been known to enjoy a rom com.I therefore approached this film with an open mind.....It is however awful! It has a very week plot, very weak acting and simply isn't funny.
dont waste your time!
