Back to Manchester United - End Of Season Review 2007/2008

Amazing season in review
Comment:
This weekend the latest season review arrived in my mailbox. It was with great anticipation that I
put it in the DVD player, hoping it would live up to the standard of the previous seasons. I'm happy
to say it does.
For me the following are important in a season review:
/>1. Easy access to all matches.
2. Chapter marks at the beginning of each match, so one can
skip the interviews on repeated viewings.
3. Matches are shown chronologically.
4. All
matches are included, except maybe friendlies.
5. Each match highlight includes chances from
both teams.
6. The picture quality should be the best available.
This season
review scores 5 stars on all points. I'm not sure how anyone can give this product one star. Maybe
the poor guy's TV needs some adjusting.
And, by the way, the quality of the football, 6
stars.

At long last we've won the Champions League again! This dvd is a great momento of a wonderful
season. Excellent quality production as usual.

Amaizing!
Comment:
I have to say this was a great season for the red devils. then again they never seemed to have any
threat.
the DVDs quality is superb, and hopefuly theyll release a Blu-ray version.
/>
the bonus material is also great- it summarises Ronaldos 42, 42! goals. bonus material
also a tribute to 20 legends
this is a must have not only for United fans but for any
football fan. thats right its that good!!!

Awful picture quality
Comment:
Great season and great matches. Unfortunately, the quality of the DVD is terrible and it's obviously
been thrown together very very quickly.
The matches look better on Youtube...
/>
For those looking for technical issues with this, instead of the awful comments, there's
really bad interlacing, colour bleed (watch the Coventry game - no wonder they lost - they were
playing in orange according to my TV), and MPEG noise which means it was encoded very poorly.
Fitting 160 mins onto a DVD9 should pose no problems, but this would have burned onto a DVD5 at this
quality...
This is unfortunate, as the Treble DVD from 1999 (yes 9 years ago) looked
far better and the run time was longer.
Hopefully they'll make a BluRay copy of this
sometime soon, especially as Sky seemingly record all PL in HD, all CL games were in HD and those
not in HD can get a decent shot at professional upconverting.

Brilliant
Comment:
Now, unlike the biased Liverpool fan below, I am a United supporter. Why are the comments of people
who have obviously not bought the product allowed on this review? In your rewiew writing
guidelines, Amazon, you say that you don't print reviews which are spiteful. Well, this LFC fan is
as spiteful as they come (admittedly a common trait on Merseyside these days). As for the comment
about not buying because you can watch it on MUTV, well what garbage! Most fans will want this for
posterity and to recall in the future our double winning season (even biased Liverpool fans realise
that the Premier League and Champions League double beats the Premier League and FA Cup).
