Summary: Another rushed job
Comment: THere's no denying that Wales are the greatest rugby team in the world as some of the enthusiastic
reviewers are stating. And there's massive enjoyment to be had watching these DVDs of another great
year in the 6 nations for wales.

But we're reviewing the DVDs, not the rugby team. And
the DVDs are awful. The 2005 DVD, whilst no masterpiece, is much better - hihglights of the games,
presented by Ieuan Evans, chatting to Martyn Williams and talking heads from many others - it was a
much better effort.

This 2008 set is rubbish. Just highlights from the game, each one
introduced by some boyo voice over. It's a real dissapointment.

Look at the small
print on the back and you can see that the production company is in Brighton, ENGLAND. Maybe a touch
of sore losers, gutted at the prospect of having to do this job and making a total mess of it on
purpose?

Hopefully next time BBC Wales can get the job and do it properly.

Summary: Welsh Superheroes
Comment: I pre-ordered this item because I was so tense watching the live matches that I didn't really enjoy
the actual rugby. Although the dvd does what is says on the box I would have liked to have had some
more interviews included. Welsh rugby is not just a game, it is a cultural festival that unites
entire communities and I would have liked some of that energy to have been reflected in the dvd.
This is still a good dvd though and it was definitely more fun watching knowing that we won!! It's
good value for money, and oh, did I mention WE WON!!!!!

Summary: SHOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER
Comment: Have to agree with the previous comments (M Came).
I feel that this DVD has been rushed to
appease those loyal, yet somewhat foolish Welsh fans who will 'grab' at all things rugby.
I
had based this purchase on the Welsh biased 2005 DVD, which included the Ieuan Evans chat with M
Ruddock, G Williams and the majority of the welsh squad. it even included the top 10 welsh
tries.
This DVD, whereas it does include the BBC1 commentary of the England/ Scotland/ Italy
etc is poorly linked by a second rate Richard Burton sound-alike.
If you just want to see the
scores from the games, and save yourself some money, i would download BBC iPlayer and that will
suffice. If not wait for a few weeks and I'm sure that someone (BBC Wales or even SCRUM V) will
produce a better reflection of the historic Welsh GS.

Summary: Good Gift Idea
Comment: Having had to watch the 6 nations due to a devoted sports fan of a boyfriend; I thought I would buy
this for him as a present. The DVD is good for those who wish to relive the Welsh path to victory
and covers all the games/highlights you could want.

Summary: AMAZING PIECE OF HISTORY
Comment: I just couldn't wait to relive this awesome competition and this DVD doesnt dissapoint. The
highlights show exactly what I needed to see and the BBC commentary included on the highlights
really help you relive the ups and downs I felt during the games live.

Then you get to
disc 2 and see the destruction of France in all its glory....AMAZING!

If you love Welsh
Rugby or you are just proud to be Welsh this is a must have!!
