Summary: Very good action must see if you love martial arts
Comment: I was expecting big things from this move and it didnt disappoint, it was abit slow to get into and the storyline isnt the best, but the martial arts action certainly makes up for this. The scene at the end is brilliant and was amazed with some of the footage. make sure you watch after the film also it shows some of the injuries picked up which filming.

Summary: Shows what a person is capable of
Comment: I watched this expecting a really good fight scene, as I had watched ong bak and tom yum goong. I really didn't expect to find out more.

It is introduced the mother of the girl and the history with the japanese vs the thai gangmembers. The affair between two characters resulted in the pregnancy of the mother. It then shows a jealous rival in the thai gang, shooting himself in the foot. After finding out that the girl is autistic, there was a horrific scene involving the mothers toe being cut off.

The girl, watching martial art films, emulated the techniques what she saw. It was humbling as it showed perhaps in a good way, the possibilities of learning and applying in the perspective of an autistic child. There were scenes of her catching balls as they were thrown her. Her childhood friend also accompanies her.

We then find out that the mother is going through chemo and needs money. The girl then goes to collect debts from people. My favorite scene is at the butchers, while she is afraid of flies, is still determined to get the money. There is also a scene of a toe in a sweet box....looks like a prune!

Eventually the thai love rival finds out, and the japanese father also decides to return. The thai love rival then sends the 'transvesite angels' to intercept.

The final scene is where the mother sacrifices herself to protect her daughter, the father reunited with the daughter and the daughter fighing to protect those she love most.

Very good.

Summary: Ignore the joyless soul below.............1 star? get out of here!
Comment: Fantastic martial arts movie with characters you can care about. Some stunning choreography and set pieces (particularly the fight on the side of the building). Highly recommended for martial arts fans. Re: the reviewer below - ignore his 1 star review, it's an insult to the film!

Summary: dissapointing!
Comment: I bought this film on the basis of it being from the same team behind tony jaa's Ong Bak and Warrior King, and what a dissapointment! Lets face it none of us buy martial arts flicks for the gripping story so we all suspend our disbelief there and let the action make up for it but this isn't enough! The fights are well choreographed but the stunt men do most of the work for what is a highly skilled, very athletic & flexible, but seriously underpowered female lead. Changing the main charecter from a male to a female doesn't give the film "a refreshing twist" as one review says it just further points towards this film having nothing new to offer which I was really hoping it would. Making her some sort of autistic, handicapped child in need character makes no difference either. This film selling itself on the ong bak and warrior king ticket was like when the film spirited warrior was re-packaged as a Tony Jaa film. real fight fans will know this film and also know that a rip off it was, akin to the rebranding of no retreat no surrender as a Van Damme film. This film is in no way as bad as spirited warrior was, make no mistake there. Anyway, thats my first ever review on amazon, but it just shows how dissapointed I was with this film.

Summary: Better Then Ong Bak!!!
Comment: Purchased this movie on DVD yesterday and have got around to watching it today.
It hasn't been blessed with the best of scripts, but the storyline is superb and the fight sequences are second to none!
It also doesn't have the 3 rewinds and replays that come with every kick and punch thats made in Ong Bak. Something i feel really hindered and broke up what would otherwise have been a great movie...

Just to add, JeeJa Yanin looks like one of the most promising exports in years!
