It had worked perfectly fine and I was greatly pleased, but! .... I too have begun to experience the large and very annoying "popping" noise between tracks, so much so that I can no longer enjoy my music. To my reckoning I have only used my speaker system less than 100 hours before this started to happen. A great shame because before the popping started I would have gladly recommended this product, now i doubt if i will ever buy another gear 4 product. I just needed to have a speaker system that could play my nano in my living room. Instead I have something that (if I was feeling very selfish towards my neighbours) could fill the house with sound. It's easy to use, looks stylish and is much cheaper than the likes of [...]. Nothing in life is perfect so areas for improvement - The remote is very flimsy, I'm worried about it breaking! It would be nicer if it had a click wheel to replicate my ipod's functions. Overall: For the money [...], its a great quality product. Customer Rating: Summary: Fab Speaker System Comment: I brought this speaker system 2 days ago and I think it's fantastic! The sound is great! and it's really loud too so it's ideal for parties. Also I like the fact that it has all different adapters for all the different ipods and you can play other mp3 players on it too! I know some people have mentioned in their reviews that they have experience clicking noises on their system, but I have to say that I have not experience any sort of clicking noises on my system and it's been great so far! Customer Rating: Summary: Pretty good all round! Comment: I bought one of these systems, and to be honest I am very impressed. I'm used to great sound quality as I own a Bose system, and my view is if it doesn't sound good don't buy it. But with this one I threw caution in to the wind and payed up. I was pleasently suprised as I put the speaker syestem through it's paces. This is my first iPod speaker system, and it can in no way be compared to my Bose Lifestyles system, but it does the job for the ipod fine. When I first turned it on I experienced the clicks that some people seem to mention, however after pushing the iPod firmly into place the clicks have not returned! It's understandable that the amplifier would pick up the clicks as it is such a small unit and the amp has no alternaive but to sit next to the dock, however I am somewhat confused about how they have just dissapeared! So it looks as liek if you fix the iPod in as you are supposed to do so, you will get no such problem! So overall I have given it 4 stars, but only because I am comparing the sound quality to that of a Bose! The overall build quality is good, and the unit is deffinelty solid, so this is a definite buy for any iPod lover on a budget! Hope that helped! I was pleasantly surprised... I already have a Bose system for downstairs, and wanted this for upstairs... It can't compete with the Bose system for overall sound quality, but its still very good, and is a fith of the price, it is excellent value for money...
