Customer Rating: Summary: A flawed masterpieceComment: All in all, an excellent buy, with Neil and friends braving torrential rain to bring us a great set of songs. I felt Neil's voice was a little under amplified and I hated the 15 minute version of 'Cowgirl In The Sand' which is a fantastic song, but spoilt here by some of the most dreadful guitar passages I have ever heard. They go on for ever and Neil seems to run out of ideas almost as soon as he starts. Don't let this put you off though. It is well worth buying.Customer Rating: Summary: simply the bestComment: I feel that this is one of the great concerts of Neil Young's long career and it's superbly captured on DVD. Unlike other reviewers I like the CD and even have some affection for the new song Fool For Your Love. Neil and the band are relaxed and determined to enjoy themselves despite the atrocious weather. The set begins badly with the slight Motorcycle Mama but after that it's pure joy all the way. You even get the previously unreleased and yet excellent Bad Fog of Loneliness. Buy this DVD and ENJOY!Customer Rating: Summary: Wet wet wetComment: Recorded at Red Rocks and, boy, did it rain! A good selection of acoustic and electric music in this video. It's a pity they didn't record the entire show and put it out on a double CD,I found the album average! It's great to hear"Tonight's the night" performed like the album version and there is some stunning slide guitar by Ben Keith.I also found "Words" better here than it is on "Harvest" and "Powderfinger is as good as usual! The acoustic songs are all super and a nice surprise is "I believe in you" with Spooner Oldham playing piano. The other acoustic songs are "Unknown legend","Daddy went walking" and "Peace of mind".It's also good to hear "Walk on" from "On the beach" and a song that's been kicking about for ages "Bad fog of loneliness""Cowgirl in the sand"is probably the best song of the set,It's great watching Jim Keltner,he's such a brilliant drummer! Yes,an excellent concert and with the weather being so bad,the class music shines through !Customer Rating: Summary: An Interesting Set from the Man that never lets you downComment: The best live DVD I've seen so far, but that's not saying much. Neil plays a fairly obscure but great set with a group of musicians who know the songs well but simply don't have the soul of the Horse. Technically, everything is tight and well recorded but this footage is nowhere near as gripping as 'Year of the Horse'. There are some slightly forced moments - the pianist putting his glasses on mid song springs to mind. Nontheless, this is Neil Young we're talking about here so of course, the songs are fantastic and Neil's voice and guitar are as good as ever. Recommended to anyone desperately searching in vain for quality music DVDs.Customer Rating: Summary: Superb concert by an immortal legendComment: I had a prejudice against this video beacuse the Audio CD was somewhat insignificant. But, to my great surprise, the show is wonderful. The band is composed by superb musicians and the backup vocals by Young's relatives is one of the highlights. And finally Neil is always an immortal legend!!!. Audio and video quality is excellent and therefore buy this DVD.
