Summary:
An atmospheric soundtrack.
Comment:
A soundtrack can either make or break a film, and this soundtrack really does this make the film complete. Right from the start, the music builds up the atmosphere and tension of being on a first-strike nuclear sub. This is one of my favourite soundtracks and I believe it is a classic.

Summary:
The best of Zimmers work!
Comment:
The film crimson tide is a film which demands a soundtrack that will match it's huge personality. Hans Zimmer does not fail his audience in this important aspect. The CD has few tracks on it, but this is due to two being around 20 mins each in length! Sitting back and listing to these tracks back to back is perfection. The deep timpani and synth backing makes for a perfect mix of orchestral music and modern synth. The essence of the film has been captured in its music. Zimmer very nearly never fails in this aspect. I highly recommend this to all zimmer fans, a must. Also, music which is very similar in style and content to this soundtrack that I also recommend is the motion picture soundtrack from The Rock.
