After his sublime and perfect contribution to the original film, the makes wisely re-hired Aussie composer Graeme Revell to score the soundtrack music for the follow-up film.
As I'm sure you're aware, his music for The Crow was nothing short of excellent - a highly recommended score CD if you do not already have it, and firmly in my personal "Top 5" soundtracks list!
The only problem with this album is that Revell has perhaps failed to match his own high standards with his work on "City Of Angels". As expected, he sensibly decided to maintain the same haunting main theme and some interesting more "tribal" sounding extra cues are included on this import disc. However, as a stand-alone score, I would suggest that this CD is inferior to the complete score from The Crow.
That said however, Revell is still on good form here so I certainly would recommend this increasingly scarce release. Get it while you can!
