Editorial Reviews: One of the most inspired cobbled-together-from-a-stack-of-records soundtrack albums since Pulp Fiction, The Big Lebowski matches the goofily ramshackle spirit of the Dude, the hero of its celluloid companion. While offering Bob Dylan's luv-addled "Man in Me" together with the Gipsy Kings' redefinitive "Hotel California" and the psychedelic era Kenny Rogers nugget "Just Dropped In (To See What Condition My Condition Was In)", Lebowski also gives longer play to some cuts barely sampled in the film, including Elvis Costello's "My Mood Swings". Whether taken as a Coen Brothers mix tape, a one-album CD carousel, or an apropos souvenir of one wiggy flick, this is a smart, eclectic buy. --Rickey Wright

Summary: Doubtful
Comment: The tracks listed for this disc, with the exception of dylan, Kenny Rogers & Townes Van Zandt are foreign to me as regards the movie.
Where are the tracks by Credence, the beautiful title track "Tumbling Tumbleweed" and the end title track by Shawn Colvin,"Viva Las Vegas"??
Most of the other listings on the disc, have no association with the film for me.

Summary: The dude abides..
Comment: Classic movie, classic soundtrack.. something that the Coen brothers know all too well. Not only are the techniques used in the film brilliant, but the use of music is original and quite possibly unique. (Whenever a track plays, it emments from the object its comming from.. watch the movie again if you dont understand).

Anyway, the music is good fun 'groovy' stuff dude, so if you are looking for some oldie but goodies.. then check this disk out man..

Summary: Man this is GROOOOVY!
Comment: This is probably one of the best soundtracks around, with some of the grooviest tunes I have ever heard. Turn up the volume and sing to your hearts content! There's plenty of variation in music styles; rock, blues, easy listening. It's fab!!!

Summary: An album of extremes
Comment: This album has some absolutely fantastic tracks but it does have some stuff that you would want to skip. Best tracks are Man In Me by Bob Dylan and Hotel California by The Gypsy Kings.
