Spotlight customer reviews: Customer Rating: Summary: Just leave everything to Barbra Comment: Critics of the movie always come out with the same line that Streisand was too young to play this role. They may be right but what they fail to see is that she really makes the part her own. I think it's a truely fantastic performance and lets face it who else is going to sing the songs as well as Streisand. 'Before the parade passes by' (how long is that final note?) and 'Hello Dolly' with Louis Armstrong are classics. Also 'Love is only love' is a lovely little ballad specially written for the movie that shows off Streisand's more tender note making. Crawford is less annoying here than usual and if you ever need cheering up 'Put on your Sunday clothes when you feel down and out'... More Reviews
