There are more shining moments in each of these 39 zippy little numbers than in the complete score of any bloated Broadway dud today. Peppered with original dialogue, and seven renditions of "The Simpsons Main Title Theme" (including Australian, Big Band, and Afro-Cuban), this disc includes beloved originals like "Who Needs the Kwik-E-Mart?". Even better are the scathing parodies: "Oh, Streetcar!" A very funny and surprisingly well written collection of covers/hommages of well known musical scores. The music is a big part of the Simpsons comedy formula and this CD is just as clever and diverse as the TV series. Just don't expect Brahms or Mozart. Customer Rating: Summary: Hilarious Comment: This is a compilation of loads of the songs that have appeared on the Simpsons episodes. Full of medleys and short songs including the extended title song and Itchy and Scratchy song. Devotees of the animated series would really enjoy this CD and it should be a part of any fan of the Simpsons' colection. If you do decide to get this just don't make the same mistake I did and listen to it in a train full of people because you will probably burst out laughing hysterically especially at 'Dr Zaius'(track 27)!
