It would be easy to brand him as the cop show composer with NYPD Blue, Hill Street Blues, Law & Order and The Rockford Files. But as this collection shows, he's had his musical fingers in just about every genre pie eaten by TV viewers. From the Chas 'n' Dave comedy tune for Blossom to Indiana Jones high-jinks for Tales of the Golden Monkey, there's ample evidence of a most versatile writing talent. The one stylistic familiarity you'll pick up on is a fondness for horns, guitar, and drums. Both L.A. Law and classic Magnum P.I. showcase that. But for every Wiseguy, there's a Quantum Leap or a Stingray. This is a great cross-section of American TV tunes, and it ends on The A-Team! --Paul Tonks

Having said that they're actually a reasonable attempt, so if you aren't too fussed about the originals you may like it. Sadly for me the quest goes on to buy the originals. More Reviews
