The first Buffy soundtrack
Comment:
This is the first (of 3) soundtrack cd's from the tv-show. The songs are focused on season 1-4.
Even though this album is not bad in any means it is far from the other two (Radio Sunnydale &
Once more with feeling). Both the cover booklet and cd-print are more plain. And there are fewer
tracks.
Despite this it is a good cd. Over all I find the soundtrack of this tv-show a good
source of new (for me) music. So still a good buy - but not a must have unless you are a die hard
fan :-)

Best album ever!
Comment:
EVERYONE should own this album. I bought this cd upon its release in 1998 and have listened to it
nearly every day since! Seriously! I have convinced heaps of my friends and family to buy it and
they too have spread the word. In my opinion, the best tracks are Velvet Chain 'Strong' (i am
obsessed with this track), Bif Naked 'Lucky', Sundays 'Wild Horses' and also 'Keep Myself Awake'.
Nearly every song is perfect, unlike the 'radio sunnydale' soundtrack which is pretty hit-and-miss.
This one's a keeper!

Comment:
I got this album for christmas a couple of years ago and played it to death the rest of my household
hate it but i have never got sick of it and still play it often i have loads of cds and this is one
of my favourites the only problem i have is that they havent done a sequil to it as there is plenty
of good sounds in the show which could be put onto cd.

Amazing!
Comment:
Buffy the Vampire Slayer. An amazing show. But is the soundtrack any good? On a first listen -
almost "YES!" On a second listen - definitely! Every song featured on this album is in some way
connected to Buffy. First up is the Theme by Nerf Herder. In my opinion, this was worth the money
alone. Track 2 is by Guided By Voices. Whilst this may not appear in the show, the lyrics are
definitely buffy-related.
There are a lot of unknown artists and bands on this compilation,
but there is something for everybody. Songs like 'Wild Horses' by The Sundays, 'I Quit' by Hepburn,
and 'Pain' by Four Star Mary are just a few examples of the varied musical genres on this CD. A lot
of these songs will be easily recognisable as being played on the show, especially 'Lucky' by Bif
Naked, which was featured in Season Four's 'The Harsh Light Of Day'. Last but not least is the
'Buffy/Angel Love Theme' which was scored by Christophe Beck. This score was most famously used in
Season Two's finale 'Becoming'.
If you are a fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, then this album
comes highly recommended. And even if you're not, there's bound to be something on here that you
like.

An Album For Fans Of Buffy & Fans Of American Rock
Comment:
You don't need to be a fan of the TV series to enjoy this CD. I first listened to it after a member
of the family bought it. There are some really excellent tracks on here; heavy American rock,
through to country and folk. There's not one track I don't like, my favourites though being Teenage
FBI, Lucky, Virgin State Of Mind and God Is A Man. Thoroughly recommended.
