Summary: Pedestrian Robbie walks to the Bank
Comment: Well...everyone else loves this album. Having listened to the likes of Frank Sinatra, Bobby
Caldwell et al and then put on this CD it was soooo tame in comparison. It is especially obvious in
the song in which they've included Blue-eyes himself...what a mistaka da maka! Probably could have
done with better music arrangers and conductor too.

Don't get this CD, buy the originals...but
nice try, Robbie.

Summary: What a Swinger!
Comment: Even as a Yank, I LOOOOOVE Robbie Williams!! I think that his interpretation of these song
standards shows how truly talented a musician he is. I wish he was more popular here in the
States!

A must have for anyone who loves the Rat Pack :)

Summary: A great tribute album
Comment: This works superbly for several reasons. Firstly, the cover notes and the recordings themselves
resonate with the immense respect Robbie evidently seems to have for Sinatra et al. This is no
artist aiming to improve on originals. Secondly, there is something special about an artist delving
into a new area and doing it so well. As much as anything this album will demonstrate his
versitility. (Certainly no one trick pony)Thirdly, the superb arrangments. As a jazz musician and
arranger I loved the brilliant tongue-in-cheek orchestrations.

An album that manages to show
great respect for those it pays tribute to whilst never taking itself too seriously.

Finally, if
it opens peoples ears to this whole style of music, it has to go down as my favourite album of
recent years.

Now what about "Swing while you still winning"?

Summary: Robbie gets us swinging
Comment: I really like Robbie Williams. I think he's a great entertainer and for the most part he has a good
voice. This swing album was a really refreshing change for me - a change from all the electronic
music that is produced nowadays. Most of the time, Robbie's voice is good in this album. The weakest
track on the album is "It was a very Good Year", simply because Robbie's voice is paced against
Frank's - and Frank Sinatra he will never be. However, he isn't Frank - he's Robbie, and he has
clearly enjoyed making this album as much as I've enjoyed listening to it.
One of the most
commendable things Robbie has done with this album is to get younger people to listen to swing. If
that expands their horizons, I say he's done a good job.

Summary: Brilliant over and over again
Comment: I've had this album a while now and I still love it and listen to it. It's great for singing along
to or just in the background if enternaining at home. I never tire of the songs and can listen to
it over and over again. Not a massive fan of Robbie Williams but I do love this album. My 7 year
old daughter loves it too and knows all the words to all the songs. Brilliant and entertaining, a
must have album for any collection.
