Comment: When I found this uncut version, with all of the episodes intact, I ordered it the same day! Its great to see the characters as they should be! If you are a SM fan, this is a absolute must for you to buy! Customer Rating: Summary: The Real Sailor Moon Comment: At last fans of Sailor Moon can see the REAL Sailor Moon. No more awful voice acting, no more Negaverse rubbish, no more Evil Japanese Writing excised from view, no more skipped episodes, no more gender changes, no more flipping the screen so it looks like the Japanese drive on the right, no more cutting out the funny bits in case it upsets or corrupts 7 year old kids, and no more "Sailor Says"! The dubbed version turned an excellent anime into a mediocre kids cartoon - this is the real thing. It's still kid friendly, full of charm and innocence, but not trimmed to suit the lowest common denominator of pre-teen US demographics. Adults will also find much to enjoy here, for example the truly excellent voice acting of Kotono Mitsuishi (Usagi/Sailor Moon), and Keiko Han (Luna/Queen Beryl), though all the voice actors just seem "right". Even if you don't speak Japanese, you'll know when Usagi is being sly or crafty, and when Luna is exasperated (which is quite often). Baka Usagi! It is also sometimes quite moving, especially in the final showdown episodes. I suppose I've got to say it.... if you don't watch this, In the Name of the Moon, I Will Punish You! Customer Rating: Summary: Season 1 Uncut Comment: This is the best way to watch Sailor Moon, uncut Japanese with subtitles, as many fans are concerened. I prefer it to the english dub. The voices are much better than the english ones and there is nothing cut out or edited, this box set contains all the episodes that were cut out of the dub. I would recommend this boxset to any Sailor Moon fan who likes the original version (some prefer the dub). Customer Rating: Summary: The best Sailor Moon DVD's Comment: This is what I have always been waiting for...The Japanese version of Sailor Moon (season 1) with English subtitles all on 8 DVD's, so now we don't have to deal with the crappy English version which cut and edit scenes, has rubbish voice acting and missed a few episodes out. If you already got the first 7 volumes of Sailor Moon on DVD, published by MVM, then you will find that it is worth it buying the episodes again (Japanese version of course). The only thing about this DVD is that it is region 1 which will not work on an UK DVD player, so I had to change my laptop DVD settings to region 1 for the sake of the Sailor Moon DVD's, but its worth it! You should also consider getting the season 2 box as well because its something a Sailor Moon fan can not live without!!! This is the first and only Western release of the anime series Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon, on 8 DVD discs with Japanese audio and English subtitles. Think you love the dubbed version? Wait till you see this. People have complained that the audio is not up to the standard they would expect on the DVDs, but don't forget this show is now over 10 years old, and ADV did the best they could to restore sound and picture to its best quality.
