If you found an unlabelled copy of this CD you would never guess the connection to LOR. I was hugely dissapointed. This is like going to a Queen concert and getting a tribute band singing anything by Queen songs. If you like wallpaper music you may like it - elsewise beware - the tracks go ever on and on... Customer Rating: Summary: Avoid like the plague!! Comment: Howard Shore's score for Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings trilogy is a masterpiece. However, be aware before ordering this cd that this recording is NOT from the original soundtrack, and is just another low budget album from a low budget record label cynically trying to cash in on something successful. Avoid this rip-off and seek out the originals instead, especially the complete recordings. You will not be disappointed. Customer Rating: Summary: Very disappointing Comment: I bought this thinking how great it would be to have one cd with a representation of the music from all 3 films. But it is a pale shadow of the 'real thing'. For me, the soul and heart tugging character of the original recordings is painfully absent, so much that I am going back to buy the original music.
