You can imagine your own South American adventure. Allows you to relax with it, or engage with it as fully as you want. Every time I hear it, it reminds me of how evocative The Motorcycle Diaries was, but you could enjoy it even if you hadnÕt see film. I find I have to listen to it on headphones to get the maximum enjoyment from it Ð thereÕs a lot of depth and subtlety to the sound that you can miss otherwise. Although SantaolallaÕs guitar playing is beautiful, there is a bit too much of it and if I had to have a criticism of the album, it would only be that I would have liked a bit more 40s/50s mambo on there. However, IÕm just about to rectify that by investing in some Damasco Perez Prado albums and educate myself in the Way of Mambo... watch this space... More Reviews
