Comment:
The music flows and your journey gets better and better with the guidance of the excellent Darren Tate & Mike Koglin. You will be immersed from the very start of CD 1, fantastic tracks delivered with a style you will want more, more, again and again.
I liked Darren Tate as Jurgen Vries, just as much when he was DT8 Project but this incarnation as himself is his highest peak so far. At this rate Mr Corsten will be checking his rear view mirror as he overtakes Oakey and gets ready to race Mr Tate.

Sublime Trance
Comment:
I admire Darren Tate for all of the songs that he has created over the years, particularly as Jurgen Vries and then DT8 Project. Under the latter alias, and with the wicked combination of Koglin, he also shows off his mixing skills by providing us with this wonderful collection of songs that express the fantastic diversity and class that trance in the 21st Century has to offer. CD1 is almost trance gone chilled, as the sea breeze flows through the album, metephorically of course, but it feels real. Some of the tracks, I feel, lack that little bit of bite, but the whole point of CD1 is to let you float away with that hot summer feeling, and the sense of passion and warmth. With the addition of the likes of Mike Koglin and Zirenz's efforts towards the conclusion of this CD, it then begins to turn darker as the sun sets.
CD2 is tremendous. This is for the club no doubt, into the early hours, adding to the passion but this time it is an exploding sphere of energy and feeling. Naturally there are some great tracks from the aces, such as The Thrillseekers, Kyau vs Albert and Lange, but some new efforts from the likes of Nimmo & Bayer, Will Holland and the beautiful Sophie Sugar are outstanding. My ultimate favourite has to be 'Puma' by Sunny Lax, which lifts you up so high your feet don't touch the ground. Darren and Koglin have shown us the talent that exists under the surface of the music industry, in a genre that gets shamefully mocked. The energy and desire that has gone into making these tracks and the subsequent mix does, however, fill even the trance-hater with admiration.
A fantastic compilation, I would recommend it to any fans of trance music.
