Comment: These days all successful TV comedy troupes take their comedy on a theatre tour almost immediately, however Monty Python were the first to do this and certainly the most successful, they eventually played at the Hollywood Bowl. This recording finds them at The Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, one of London's most famous theatres. Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry ones and Michael Palin are joined by Carol Cleveland whom also featured in the TV show and Neil Innes of the Bonzo Dog Doo-dah Band with a musical interlude. The performance is a kind of Monty Python's Best of featuring such brilliant sketches as `Nudge, Nudge', `Travel Agent', `Bruces', `the Lumberjack Song' and `the Parrot Sketch'. Also performed is the `Four Yorkshiremen Sketch' written by Chapman and Cleese for the `At last the 1948 Show' however it is of suitable quality to fit right at home here.
