Summary: Wicked - in a bad way
Comment: This recording is just awful - so nasally and twangy. When are they going to release a West End
cast recording with Kerry Ellis? I urge all of you who have seen Wicked in the West End and fallen
in love with the songs like I did - don't buy this recording! You will be sorely disappointed with
the Broadway twang!

Summary: Guess what ... it's Wicked !!!
Comment: After seeing the show in London recently & absolutely loving it I quickly picked up the CD & now
love the music even more. Often you can get wrapped up in a live performance and when you come away
and listen to a recorded version it doesn't have quite the same impact. Wicked was the opposite as
far as I'm concerned in so much as that I loved the show but on listening to the CD appreciated the
music even more. There's easily a dozen tracks that are superb and 5 or 6 of these are quite simply
awe-inspiring.

Not sure how it would sound without seeing the show first but I'm sure
it would lose quite a bit of emotional impact although my Niece hasnt seen the show yet and loves
the CD anyway. Thats a sign of quite how well-written and performed the music is. Many of the tracks
are very reminiscent of Disney's second golden age of films in the late 80's & 90's although I'd go
as far as saying that Wicked has a stronger cannon of tracks than any other single movie or
show.

When I saw the show the lead was played by Kerry Ellis who simply blew me away &
on hearing the CD I thought the vocal wasn't as strong but it's still a great listen.

Summary: Fantastic and simply Wicked!!!!!
Comment: The best musical in a long time and a great CD. I would have liked to have a version with Kerry
Ellis singing. Idina Menzel is good but Kerry Ellis just has more depth to her voice and Defying
Gravity is amazing, especially in the actual Show. Defying Gravity is fantastic, Popular-funny and
I'm not that Girl is a lovely change of pace. See the show first then buy the CD both are well
worth the money.

Comment: AMAZING.
The best music from a musical a person can buy! I totally recommend it, as even my
dad who thinks musicals are definitely not his thing, was indignantly stealing my soundtrack for
weeks after we went to see it!
you would be missing out not to buy this soundtrack. MAKE THE
RIGHT DECISION!

Summary: Absolutely Wickedly Wicked.
Comment: The story is told in flashback through the eyes of Glinda the good witch. The whole musical is a
magical journey filled with outstanding songs that say in your head long after you have listened to
this musical. What made the green witch turn evil,or was she evil? Listen to the songs and even read
the book which is based on it. You will not be disappointed by this gem of a musical,enjoy.
