Comment: This is an excellent anime series in superb new graphics. I would give this 10 out of 10. Customer Rating: Summary: Superb Opening to the best Anime series ever! Comment: This set of DVDs is excellent; you receive the opening Saiyan Saga which is where you see Raditz, Nappa and Vegeta all taken on Goku and the Z warriors. It is excellent to see these fights as all the rivalry and the development of the characters since Dragonball is so important to help with the story line it is cruital to see this first season. The dubbing of the voices is excellent and the video quality is amazing much sharper and clearer than perhaps the Toonami showings. Different music for opening/closing plus the credits are different to that of Toonami but rather funny lyrics which are shown to you on screen too! And for anyone with a PS2 this does work on your PS2 providing your TV is NTSC enabled aswell as PAL but should it not be your only downfall is it'll be in black and white but still a must buy! The entire collection of DragonBall is necessary! Customer Rating: Summary: Saiyan Saga! The Beginning of Goku's Knowledge of Ancestory Comment: If you loved watched watching the anime Dragonball with the adventures of Kid Goku then you will love the series Dragonball Z charting the adventures and deeds of Adult Goku. Goku now has a family and a son Gohan. This is where it all began with the arrival of Goku's brother to the collision of the Saiyans Nappa and the introduction to Vegeta in the Dragonball Universe. The DVD Boxset is slick and well worth the wait. It gives it a nice effect to your dvd collection. Comes with a booklet with Character Bio's and Episode Summaries aswell as a timeline of production of the series. All uncut which means more blood and swearing. Comes with the choice of English and Japanese audio. A must have for any anime or Dragonball Fan as it has been to long to get a boxset of the saga. Excellent!! Customer Rating: Summary: Great Series Comment: this is a good box set, only problem is that it is not the same one released in the UK on Cartoon Network, there are a few slight differences. an example is the loved U-tube "over 9,000" vegeta quote, in this box set he doesn't say it quite as emotionally. other than that this is going to be a great series also note this is uncut so there are no conveniently placed leaves and cans to cover nakedness, and the characters swear from now and then.
