Spotlight customer reviews: Customer Rating: Summary: great film ,amazing concert Comment: this concert is just amazing for any high school musical fan how ever big or small and no matter what age.includes high school musical hits and some solo songs "showcases" off some solo albums.it is a shame zac is not in the cncert but you can easily get past that and enjoy it from start to finish.with dancing and fireworks you just cant go wrong. its just a shame i dont live in america so i could of went :) Customer Rating: Summary: big disappointment Comment: Having really enjoyed high school musical, i wanted to watch this, but i now wish i hadn't!! thankfully, i only rented dvd so have not wasted money on it. The singers are miming and they do not intereact with each other that well. Huge let down - i would not recommend watching this, or wasting your money. Customer Rating: Summary: High school musical - The concert Comment: I am a big fan of high school musical but was absolutely gutted when i watched this concert. Being a musician and singer i get upset when people dont perform live and this concert isnt live, they are all miming. They also use clips from the film rather than having enough cast to sing the songs. Was really dissapointed. Customer Rating: Summary: Zac Efron does not perform in the concert Comment: Despite the cast list given by amazon, Zac is not one of the performers. Troy is played by Drew Seeley, who provided Zac's singing voice in the film because Disney felt Zac's voice was too low (bad decision, Zac is a much better singer - see Hairspray & HSM2). Customer Rating: Summary: High School Musical The Concert Comment: This is such an amazing concert. Not only does it show all of the hit songs from the movie, they even have 3 showcases of some of the cast's songs. Corbin Bleu (Push It To The Limit & Marching), Ashley Tisdale (We'll Be Together) and Vanessa Hudgens (Say Ok) are the showcases. This DVD really shows the atmosphere that was in Houston, where they performed. During bit's of the concert where the MC (Lucas Grabeel) is talking to the audience about the next section of the show, you get to see exclusive clips from interviews with the cast about the tour, some of which are included on the High School Musical : The Concert CD&DVD. The bonus features include all 4 songs that the support act, Jordan Pruitt sung right before the High school Musical cast go on stage. She sings... Jump To The Rhythm, Teenager, Outisde Looking In & Miss Popularity. Lucas also takes you on a behind the scenes diary of what happens behind the scenes of The High School Musical Tour. You get to see what happens : after the show (meeting the fans, signing autographs and having pictures taken wih the fans), on the boy's tour bus (what they do on there - sing, eat, sleep, watch dvd's etc), 2:00am arriving at the hotel, 10:00am arriving at the theater/arena and doing 1-2 hours of rehearsing and soundchecks, going backstage before the show and meeting Jordan Pruitt, going into the dressing rooms/changing rooms, going to hair an make-up, meeting the cast and crew, and the final few minutes before going on stage - the cast & dancers individual fun handshakes with everyone. On this DVD, you can be the camera guy and have a look at different views on selected songs in the concert. There are also plenty of sneak peeks on the DVD - Hannah Montana, High School Musical on DVD, High School Musical 2 on DVD and a sneak peek of High School Musical 2! This DVD is for TRUE High School Musical fans.
