Comment: I bought this latest offering in the somewhat forlorn hope that Silva Screen had paid some attention to the negative reviews that Volume 1 attracted, and had perhaps included some original versions. Not a hope. Every track is a cover, performed by Silva's usual suspects - The Daniel Caine Orchestra, City Of Prague Philharmonic, Mark Ayres and a few others. The Daniel Caine tracks have been released on countless other albums under Silva's Primetime label, and the City of Prague tracks are trying to be too close to the originals yet missing by miles. They sound lifeless and hollow, as though the musicians and engineers are thinking "here we go again". Oh, and the final thing that really made me laugh - on the spine, when the text is the right way up, the Silva Screen logo is upside down!! Come on, Silva Screen, you can do way, way better than this, you really can... More Reviews
