Spotlight customer reviews: Customer Rating: Summary: Essential Purchase Comment: I was lucky enough to see John Tams perform at 'The Moseley Folk Festival', in Birmingham, this summer. Until then, though, I only had vague memories of his appearances in 'Sharpe'. However, after hearing him at Moseley, I realised how woefully inadequate my c.d. collection was and after purchasing 'The Definitive Collection', to get an idea of just what I'd been missing out on all these years, went on to buy all his other albums i.e. 'Unity', 'Home' and 'The Reckoning'. He has a well developed ear for melody and it shows in all of his beautifully crafted compositions. I recommend this album as you won't be disappointed. Customer Rating: Summary: Brilliant. Comment: First came to my attention through the Sharpe series and he just gets better and better. Recently saw him live and the man and his music are well worth a listen.
