Spotlight customer reviews: Customer Rating: Summary: Not the original recordings Comment: Despite appearances, this two-disc set lacks the famous, original soundtrack recordings of these three scores. Instead, so far as I can ascertain, many (if not all) instruments are computer synthesized, 'based on the original scores'. Whilst the finished result sounds slick and fairly convincing (though any brass instruments sound so utterly horrid as to cause one to skip to the following track), it lacks the magic, and individually pleasing sounds for which I sought the CDs out. If you enjoyed the soundtracks to these films, I would beseech you to find the original recordings instead, and give this CD-set a miss. More Reviews
