Thirty-four tracks of rocking guilty pleasures - sneak off somewhere with your ipod where your mates will never see you getting all emotional to Styx, Journey et al. Not sure why Whitesnake or Billy Idol appear, but who cares? Customer Rating: Summary: Fantasic Album although not a classic like orinal Comment: Very good album not a classic as the original... Pic on Amazon is of the original album not the one adertised!!!! Customer Rating: Summary: Great Compliation for AOR enthusiasts Comment: Great songs - the original was relatively compact (believe it was only 16 songs) as it was from the ye olde vinyl /cassette days where you only had an hour tops. The CD additions generally make sense (Bill Idol aside) but I recall that the original also contained "I Got You" by Split Enz (which was a big US hit in the early 80s, and is also another great song). Obviously Split Enz are not American (they are from New Zealand ; the Finn brothers went on to form Crowded House), which makes the absence of this song and the presence of "Rebel Yell" even more strange. Oh...and "Carry On Wayward Son" is awesome ! Customer Rating: Summary: Can't get better if this is your thing Comment: Superb selection, well planned, classic tracks. Just one thing - Billy Idol is English. I know he comes over all Yankee, but he's English. Someone in the team of faceless execs who put this together needs slapping and sacking.
